The GN&amp;C lead will work with the systems engineering, avionics and mechanical teams to form the optimal system solution.</p>
<p><strong>Key Areas of Responsibility</strong><br />Development and optimization of design reference mission trajectories<br />Design and analysis of Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithms<br />Development of 6DOF launch vehicle and spacecraft dynamics simulators <br />First principles derived analysis of launch vehicle systems<br />Software verification via testing with flight-software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop<br />Mission design and mission sequencing including fault management and contingency operations<br />Specification of sensor requirements support in their development, integration, analysis and test<br />Launch and mission operations support</p>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br />Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Science plus a minimum of&nbsp;eight (8) years of related experience. <br />Extensive experience in launch vehicle GN&amp;C design<br />Expertise in the field of flexible body control, filtering, trajectory optimization, aerodynamics, rendezvous and proximity operations, atmospheric entry, propulsive landing, fault management, software development, inertial, optical, ranging and GPS sensor systems<br />Expertise in using MATLAB and C/C++ <br />Capable of solving complex problems with little to no supervision on schedule as an individual or as a member of an integrated team<br />Strong work ethic and a self-starter<br />Must be a U.S. person as defined by the ITAR (22 CFR &sect;120.15).</p>

<p><strong>Description:</strong><br />&bull;&nbsp;Primary point of responsibility for all spaceline Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and Special Ground Support Equipment (SGSE) <br />&bull;&nbsp;Develop, implement, and manage the GSE/SGSE preventative maintenance program, training program to operators/users, vendor interface relationships, spare parts provisioning/distribution, and communication of department &amp; equipment status<br />&bull;&nbsp;Assist Space Flight Systems maintenance and supply chain departments with selection and procurement activities of GSE/SGSE <br />&bull;&nbsp;Develop and maintain all GSE/SGSE configuration control within a computerized environment<br />&bull;&nbsp;Assist in development and eventual management of the spaceline tool control program<br />&bull;&nbsp;Coordinate timely repairs to equipment to ensure that no schedule impact occurs to the spaceline operations due to inoperative equipment<br />&bull;&nbsp;Properly coordinate and prioritize the daily activities of the GSE department<br />&bull;&nbsp;Perform personally or through subordinates, preventive maintenance tasks, standard to complex repairs on vehicles for both electrical and mechanical, diagnostic procedures to determine needed repairs, welding repairs with MIG welding, stick welding, or acetylene gas welding, fuel operations and maintains cleanliness of all ground equipment to show room standards</p>

    <li>To be the external face of Virgin Holidays retail offering advice face to face and also on the phone </li>
    <li>To communicate professionally with customers and provide exceptional service </li>
    <li>To have a keen eye for keeping customer facing merchandise up to date and sales focussed to encourage customer enquiries and sales </li>
    <li>To promote your store through leafleting and other marketing activities to generate sales </li>
    <li>To work as a supportive member of a small team to ensure targets are achieved </li>
    <li>To learn our products and be able to describe features and benefits to customers depending on their needs </li>
    <li>To maximise sales and the customers holiday experience by suggesting upgrades and additional products </li>
    <li>Driven to meet and exceed personal sales targets </li>
    <li>To always be looking for innovative ways to generate new business </li>
    <li>To be flexible to cover other stores when needed </li>

<br><br><b>Requirements</b><br><br><ul>
    <li>It is essential you have proven commission based sales experience (travel related would be an advantage) </li>
    <li>Experience working in a customer facing sales role </li>
    <li>You have either visited a long haul destination or worked with the long haul product </li>
    <li>Experience of pro active sales - leafleting/promotional work </li>
    <li>Good numerical skills with ability to manually calculate holiday costs without error </li>
    <li>An ability to take ownership and to work on your own with little or no supervision at times. </li>
    <li>To have excellent communication skills </li>
    <li>Confident, enthusiastic and persuasive sales person </li>
</ul>

    <li>This is a uniformed position with strict guidelines to follow </li>
    <li>This role requires you to work shifts (including early, late and weekend shifts) </li>
    <li>There is a great five week induction training to get you up to speed, weeks one and five will be based in Crawley, West Sussex, weeks three and four will be virtual training working from home and the third week based in a store as near to your home as possible. </li>
